Hi,
The concept of having a mic built in a fridge is hilarious to me.
I love the idea of making a samplepack from a fridge, so if you could record a few things like
- "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Peter packed a pack of pickled peppers. Sibilances test"
- Shutting the door.
- Percussion stuff like pots and pans.
- Kitchen room tone with an appliance on like a kettle or oven, microwave etc...
Other...
And release a "smart fridge" pack. I think the concept would be cool!
A third-size wheelie bin would be similar to a fridge ... https://youtu.be/9AnpASi0C2o?&t=184
Bin convolution plugin, NICE!
I should maybe do some impulse responses of things, I'm just not sure about what speaker would be adapted to do a fequency sweep
Apparently this guy uses a starting pistol, rather than a sweep ...

Many ways to do Impulse Responses.
User modusmogulus https://freesound.org/people/modusmogulus/ has kind of done them all.
From DIY impulse response whip, to oxyhydrogen balloons, handclaps, sine sweeps as mentioned, and "Deflagration to Detonation Transition (DDT)".
Yeah, she does super sonic flames and whips for impulse responses, freaking badass by my book!
I pop balloons mostly. But I presume that's mostly good for reverb while a sine sweep will probably be better for a tone?
Cheers!
