I am creating a deep sampled instrument in Kontakt of all sorts of percussive "found sound" and foley that I've found on this site and other sources.

I'm very interested in any kind of banging, clacking, impacts, stomps, clicking, body percussion, doors opening and closing, metal hits, etc. Basically any kind of foley that is percussive in nature.

This kind of stuff is already abundant on the site, but unfortunately not many have multiple (6-10) recordings of the same sound being performed. I want to program my instrument as realistically as possible and that involves several round robin hits of the same sound. Here's a quick read on what round robin programming is if you're confused by the term.

So I'm basically asking for you generous folks to record any kind of cool or unique percussive sounds with at least 5-6 versions of the same sound (as close as possible).

If any producers here are interested, I would be happy to release the final instruments (once I get clearance from everyone I've sampled).

Any contributions would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks so much.

We are often editing such sound banks into individual hits so that they can be loaded into a sampler and played in time. You can get them all and put them together. Check any of my packs, but especially "Sound Effects & Foley", "Tools, Weapons & Household Objects", and "Gong Bonanza".

Fantastic! I am downloading the packs now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Anyone else who wishes to participate would be warmly welcomed!

Have a few bubble and popping sounds with multiple takes: https://freesound.org/people/el_boss/sounds/669921/

Also a bunch of random foley stuff - hope it helps!

Hi Kevin,

These sound good! It looks like there are enough hits as well. I appreciate it greatly and will likely add it to the final instrument if you approve.

The bubble and popping sounds are perfect! Lots of takes and good quality. I will check out your random foley work soon and see if there is anything I can use.

Thanks!

Yes, of course ! You’ll probably have to make some adjustments, but please feel free to do it !

I'm sampling more things now, and the thought occurred to me to put my new samples in a zip file, so that you didn't have to download my massive packs from Freesound again.

So, once I've got these new ones together, I'll put them on Google Drive and send you a link to the zip file.

EDIT: I don't have nearly as many new ones as I thought I did, as only some of them meet your requirements. I'll keep the archive going until it's sizable enough to be worth uploading.

futuremotion, I DM'd you a link to the archive last night. Since that time, I have also recorded a bunch of wood knock and fan grill sounds among others, which I am about to upload.
