I am looking for a way to loop soundfiles in a free-running mode, similar to the preview player on freesound. I have made some interesting compositions just playing with the preview player but would like some better quality.
I tried turning looping on in windows media player, but I can only play one file at the time, when I try to open another file it stops playing the previous file.
I tried to open 2 copies of wmp, but that does not work either.
Again, I am looking for a program that can loop-play several samples independent from each other with no synching to each other.

pretty much any audio recording software will do this or any sequencing software.

Also this in fact CAN be done with windows media player. If you run the program and go to View/Options... it will bring up a window where you can go to the 'player' tab. There you'll see a box that says 'open options' and you can select the option that says 'Open a new player for each media file played' press OK and there ya have it! Happy Looping!
