Not sure if anyone can help me here. For some reason, my minidisc has developed a kind of intermittent click & whirrr when recording. Tried another disc but the same thing happens.

Is it a case of a repair job; something I can deal with or am I better getting a new MD?

mine does that too. its the disc spinning. it's not as bad if you use an external mic and put the player in your pocket or something so the mic doesn't pick it up.
