They used an accelerometer ontop of a structure to measure its frequency.
Look at 5min. I just see a wave-form I want to hear lol.
Now at 1.7hz we won't hear much of it, but perhaps with some technics of speeding stuff up, repitching it etc. To make things more fun to listen to. It could open a world of experimental recordings.
In a backpack while on a swing? What about having it on the shoe/heels, that would make the same frequency but with an added harmonic or something no?
I'd definly put one on my ripstick and ride up/down the skatepark, you'd have the frequency of my wiggle to accelerate, at different rates as I go round and up/down the routes.
Definitely on a boat!
A walk or run would probably give a cool result too.
I'm sure there's natural phenomenon's that would be interesting to record with a accelerometer type recording device.
Is there already a name for such a technique?
How far or close is it to a piezoelectric / contact mic setup?
Anyone handy with a 3d printer and Arduinos to maybe make/share such a setup ?
