just wanted to point people to this program. its a free open source program. and it looks really cool.

i used to use this program a long time ago. there's many different ways to set it up to different views according to your taste. it has a handful of view styles to choose from, and then from there you can edit each view with a multitude of options. this program was designed by people that really know what they're doing and are sound lovers as well. it's only a gift from the cosmos that its 100% free. it's perfect obviously for audio analysis and the like. i use it to enjoy even more the music or sounds i listen to. it creates a great eye ear connection if your into the whole synesthesia thing. now to work on physical radiation.
