I haven't visited this website in quite a while. I prefer DSD over PCM for music files and was expecting to find some nature recordings available in DSD here, but was surprised to find none after an initial search. Why is that?

DSD is a proprietary format which is still under patent.

The only audio-formats supported on Freesound are listed here ... https://freesound.org/help/faq/
