Hi everyone,

I am looking to create a sound similar to La Monte Young's 1969 Drift Study, a minimalist piece working from John Cage's views on musical indeterminacy.
The piece is a sustained sound composed of two electronic waves which vary in pitch and tone depending on your location in relation to it.
Does anyone have any idea of how to recreate this? I own a Macbook with Garageband, would this be adequate?

(sound starts at 0:30) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5e8QKh3LOQY

Thanks in advance,

Jonathan.
