i do a podcast using songs (with permission of course) from myspace.

the frequency for these songs is 22.5 khz

but the usual frequency of the average mp3 is khz.

so when i put a normal mp3 into my 22.5khz audio montage it gets sped up.

is there any easy way of converting songs down a frequency?

What you want to do is find is a program that can downsample a 48/44.1 kHz mp3 into a 22.5 kHz one. Most good converters should be able to do this, I can suggest some depending on your operating system. dbpoweramp for windows and the crossplatform VLC player come to mind.

Or you can get a DAW that supports multiple sampling rates in one project such as recent versions of Audacity.
