You already have a portable preamp, don't you?
I don't think you're a novice of recording.

All you have to do is to listen to many sound files preserved here.
Some of them have descriptions what mic was used.

Sound counts.

Hello Heigh hoo

i don't have a portable preamp yet, but i want to buy one. I know that the sound device MM1 or AETA PSP2 are good, but for the mics i'm not sure.

There is so many good mics. That's why i asked this question about microphones.

i've heard about the rode NT4 or the shure VP88 ????

If I were you, I'd choose Shure VP88 or Sennheiser MKE44p.
Both of them are excellent products.
I once tried MKE44p for field-recording, and was totally stunned by the play-back sounds.
That's still my dream mic.
VP88 is also the one that I'm strongly attracted by. Robust, energetic. When I listened to the sound that was recorded with it, I thought it's good.

But, both of them are 1000-dollar microphones....

Sound counts.
