Hey, does anyone know what the first sound ever on freesound was? If you know lmk thanks!

This is a good question...

It's actually quite easy to find out. If you run a search and leave the text field empty it will return all sounds from the database. You can then change the sort order to oldest first. Here is the link:

https://freesound.org/search/?q=&f=&s=created+asc&advanced=0&g=1

Sounds have an ID in the URL e.g. freesound.org/s/414958. This number is a just a regular counter that adds one digit for each upload.

As you can see in the above search link, the oldest sound is actually number 6, so the 4 preceding it were deleted. Probably because they were just test uploads. From the blank search you can also see how many sounds are in the database and other little tidbits. have a look!
