Send the Sound Tech up on stage to adjust the mic shock mounts.

Shoulda done it proper during set-up and sound checks.

The wheel-noise [0:12, 0:40, 1:10] reminded me of empty aluminium/aluminum beer barrels/kegs,
(if someone needs to simulate it).

The Scientists are ecstatic but the Science Fiction fans are asking "Where's the Theremin?"

(Empty beer kegs huh! Recalls the side of my head scraping on grit and gravel, but an empty beer keg sounds like a low thud-thud-thud trapped inside ones skull for a day and a half.)

You don't need a defense. In my formative years I was a barman at the College Student Union Bar. My specialty was Newcastle Brown Ale. My ears are permanently Rorschached.
