Great contribution, very interesting and useful.
Thanks for sharing.
PS: FannyLH asked me to translate the article The Noise Children Make , we read it together and although she was expecting other kind of info/multimedia/etc, she also thanks you

What is the deal with that page? It spikes my CPU usage to 100% and memory usage to over 200,000k! I'd love to see what's there but there must be some major script action happening and I am hoping it isn't destructive.

I close it and my CPU hovers around 4-8% with iexplore.exe at a respectable 35,028k...

I tested it 3 times, froze up for a minute or two so I had to shut everything down.

Anyone else experience this?

yeah, it's a CPU hog... Causes my Firefox (Linux) to take 30% CPU cycles and 146 Mb RAM ! Even running through NoScript and a localproxy which cuts down undesirable thingies... Me don't like, bye-bye

Hi,
nice to hear some people find that page worthwile,
but sorry about that cpu and memory issue!
the page contains too many rss feeds and youtube vids i guess haha
works pretty ok on a mac...pc i don't know, don't know either what's wrong
with that 200.000k memory usage....
I'm gonna sort it out cause this doesn't sound good

Thanks for the feedback,it helps me understand these things a bit better.I didn't realize there might be a problem with this page and that's a shame 'cos there's such a wide range of interesting topics, I have now spent a couple of hours jumping around (in ignorant bliss) without experiencing any problems. smile .

It's a great source of information, I was able to get in there when not using tabbed browsing and didn't get hardly any hangups at all. I have plenty of RAM and a fairly adequate CPU speed and have minimized windows to barebones and it was brutal when using tabbed browsing.

Maybe splitting it up would help to but then poeple like me would have 30 tabs open at once instead of 10!

I was up till 2AM reading stuff when I supposed to be finishing a song or two off, not sure if I should thank you or blame you for lost time!

good to hear how the page works for you, thanks!
Just added some explanation to the top of the page hoping that will increase usability a bit...
