I found out at the weekend that the great composer and innovator Stockhausen died last week. If not for his influence and genius a lot of the ways in which music and sound are made and performed would not be available today. A great loss but a great life.
Mark, as usual you are a mine of information and anecdote and you actually met the man. I am not sure of the exact quote but he once said something to the effect that he could make any sound into music - it was all about the context. Context - that's the thing.
