Hello, Good Evening,

As i was new to freesound, i didn't know exactly, that you can't use Sounds from other Sources (like a Digital Synth) and mix them to get new Sounds. So, now i realised that some of my Sounds don't fit the Freesound Philosophy.

Please remove them from the Database. This Sounds from me are "Remixes" and should be deleted:

the following packs:

AHX_Chip_Drums
if_Power_Drums

which consist of this Sounds:

if_chipbassdrum.wav
if_chipsnaredrum.wav

if_powerbassdrum.wav
if_powersnaredrum.wav

Direct Link to the packs:

http://www.freesound.org/packsViewSingle.php?id=4670

Thank you so much,
Ingo

Hello, Good Evening,

why is noone answering my Thread here or deleting the Sounds, that i wanted to be deleted?

I don't want to stay them in the Freesound Database, if they are violating the Rules of Freesound!

Thank you,
Ingo

Hello jivatma07

I am sorry your initial post has slipped through unanswered. That is quite unnusual.
I am not a moderator nor am I familiar with AHX, although I did quite a lot of music in the Amiga in my younger days.

As I understand it, you have to synthesize the sounds in AHX, using basic waveforms (sine, square, triangle, saw, etc) and other elements such as envelops and possibly filters.
This means that the sounds you create are your own, unless you are using presets created by someone else.
Using synths (or softsynths) for samples in Freesound is acceptable, provided you are not using presets. I post a lot of samples created with VST synths, which are simply software synthesizers.
I believe there are some restrictions around the use of wavetable synths, since the wavetable is essentially a set of small samples, but I am not sure. In any case, this would not apply to the "basic" waveforms used by AHX (sine, square, etc) as those are not copyrighted.

Hope this answers your concerns and that the sounds don't need to me removed.
If this still does not answer all your concerns, please keep asking questions, I am sure one of the Mods will pick it up.

I want to believe.

you need to contact anyone of the mods and they'll do it. Contact bram and if he's not busy he'll do it. Posting here isn't a way to get it done. They have lives and don't always check the pages but rather rely on messages through email.

I'm not new here-take my advice.

Hi LS,

I would have thought the samples do not actually infringe the Freesound rules. Therefore no need to remove.
Am I missing something?

I want to believe.

I could remove them if you like. Just let me know: are these preset sounds or sounds you created yourself? It is not clear, yet, to me.

Hello,

I am sorry about the Delay wootops: .

Yes, please delete the mentioned Sounds, LG. Thank you.

The Sounds were Presets, that i mixed together sad .

EDIT: today i found this Drum-Loop: http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=40940
Noone says something, that this individual Samples in the Loop are not made by VEXST, so, is it allowed to use Sounds from other Sources, layer them and create a "new" sound this way? Because, that is exactly, what i did! Now, i am usure about this topic too, haha :? ...

Soundfull Greetings,
Ingo
