Hi!
Is it possible to modify an already uploaded audio file on Freesound — for example, replace it with a shorter edited version? Or is the only option to delete the existing file and upload a new one?
I need to make a small correction and would like to know the proper way to handle this.

As of 2025 sounds on Freesound cannot be replaced/edited. Deleting the problem audio, and uploading the edited audio is the only way possible.

You can delete your own sounds at Profile picture > Manage sounds, as well as the Moderation / Processing / Pending description / Packs tabs

Clear and thank you! I made the piece shorter, as the Artist wanted, then loaded it, like a new sound, copied the previous descriptions and finally deleted the old one. I think I did.
