I notice he's recently changed his name on both Freesound and audiojungle (2 days ago).

He now goes by the names onemillion on freesound and moondustsea on audiojungle.

Obviously trying to evade attention.

For now at least your links still work but I don't know if that will change. If freesound take action they should take care not to delete his download history.

The plot thickens.

EminY's original link to https://freesound.org/people/oguzhancil is redirected to https://freesound.org/people/onemillion/ 's profile and the disputed files do appear on his download list.

Try it.

Likewise EminY's link to audiojungle/oguzhancil is redirected to user audiojungle/moondustsea and the audiojungle/moon.... page states oguzhancil changed his name to moondustsea 2 days ago!

Cant find reference any to "oguzhancil" on freesound now other than this thread.

I don't know how these redirects are set up in freesound or audiojungle, automatically or manually or how long they last.

If I am well informed you can change the account name only one time for freesound.org.

I saw that he downloaded sound from me. I will ask my proteam to follow him on his audiojungle account.

Ready for investigation and legal action if necessary.

It's only an assumption on my part that he changed his username on freesound - like he did on audiojungle. It seems the logical explanation to fit the clues above.

I was worried about what happens to all the records if he deletes his account. I remember being confused when some of my sound download counts went down. ie. got un-downloaded when "soundFXfactory" got kicked out.

I assume the original oguzh... joined us 4 months ago.

So firstly, I locked their account just now, so they aren't able to download or change username again. I'll try my best for them to not delete the account to keep a record of what's happened.

@Klankbeeld - name change is actually 3 times max.

@strangely_gnarled - Redirects are permanent because we store all the old usernames and what they changed to for referencing.

I will get in touch myself with AudioJungle as a representative from Freesound.org and see if I can get through to them about the issue.

It seems this freesound profile isn't accessible anymore. Hopefully, i checked yesterday evening if some of my sounds have been downloaded, and I saw in the list many names of big contributors as Klankbeeld, Erokia, inspectorJ, and more... Lots of the sounds are available for sale through the audioJungle profile... (and strangely, the username changed between yesterday and now, coming back to oguzancill).

I'm in contact with the audiojungle team, I'm doing my best to close all profiles of this thief.

This thief also lives in the same country as me. I'm thinking of suing him if I can find an official document

Sorry guys, the user managed to reactivate the account and delete themselves. This is partly my fault, but also due to the lack of available account actions at my disposal.

I'm trying to find out if there's anything we can do to retrieve the data.

You say you're in contact with Audiojungle already, So I won't contact them myself for now then, but let me know if you need me to reach out to them.

I guess the "Sound Rustler" has been following every move on this forum. In future if anyone has anything to say it's probably best done by PM to the Sheriff(?) - until this is resolved.

Tips for all the others: check his account daily. He is on page 12 now
If you know your files well, you will automatically encounter new uploads of your files.
