Hello,

I do stop motion animation, and if I wanted to use any sounds from this website in my videos, is there a certain process I need to follow to give credit to the makers of the sounds or am I allowed to download the sounds onto my animations without saying anything? I just don't want to have a copyright strike or anything. Thanks!

It really depends on how you want to use your animations. If they are just for personal use then don't worry, but if you plan on publishing the animations somewhere then you have to follow some rules.

Some pointers for you to learn about the 3 Creative Commons licenses here at Freesound.org:

I answered a similar question expansively in another thread with an easy to understand license chart. Take a look:

Thank you so much! Of course I want to give credit where credit is due, so I’ll look into the rules more.

Happy to help. Also, i'm glad you took the time to ask the question. Most people wouldn't even bother trying to do things right. smile
