Is this site more like SXC or Flickr in its philosophy? SXC is more oriented to "only" stock photos--is this site "only" for stock sounds, or is it more like Flickr? Flickr welcomes stock photos and "art" photos--they may not necessarily be useful as stock photos, but they are interesting on their own. Does freesound welcome sounds that may not be useful as "stock" sounds, yet are interesting enough to share?

of course we welcome non-stock sounds.
how does one define stock-sounds anyway.
it all depends on the needs!
if you're making a movie your stock sounds are very different from when you're making a song!
