A few things going on
-Freesound-based composition contest
-October event (with talks from members of the Freesound community)
-Intangible Heritage though the lens of Freesound.
-Celebrate the anniversary by getting creative and uploading new sounds with the tag #freesound20.

There's a few things of "We will post more information about that event and how to participate in due time.", Looking forward to that

I encourage the community, do record a few "Happy Birthday" and "Freesound" or "Happy (20th) birthday Freesound!", party popper, party whistle / party blower / noisemaker sounds. Cheers? Claps ? Other?
Lets have a sort of "Dare" until 2026 with the theme of celebration and tag #freesound20

Oh, wow! It's great to have discovered Freesound and to have had access to SFX for various community radio and other projects. It's my go to for sounds. I'll record a birthday message...I've been using sound downloads for about a decade and have just uploaded my first - it's like a bundle of sequential sounds. Hope you love it.

It would be cool, if a few of us could say it in our native tong
Would show the diversity of users here and how Freesound is beneficial all over the world ^^

I recorded something, tried to do a old-school radio announcement, I just need to process the sound a little, the mic I used got in the right direction but not far enough
