Hi, everyone. Question #1: Creative Commons 0, Attribution 4.0 and Attribution 3.0 is it only necessary to post the attribution link (from the attribution text from each sound I am going to use) in the description of my youtube video? I've seen a link been posted here to a blog post about attribution, but english is not my native language, so I can't really see where it says HOW TO credit. Question 2#: Have people used CC0, A4 and A3 and still get copyright claims?

Thanks in advance for replies.

Hey

First of all Creative Commons Zero (CC0) sounds do not require credits/attribution to use.

So, for an ideal attribution of BY 3.0/4.0 material It's recommended to use the TASL approach...

Title: Whats the name of the sound as it appears on Freesound or in the file name

Author: The username of the creator, unless they have specifically instructed you to use an alternative name.

Source: Give a hyperlink. Get the short URL on the right side of the sound's page; next to the social media icons.

License: You should specify which license the sound has. For example, Creative Commons Attribution 4.0

———

Q#2: It's possible if the platform has stored a previous copyright claim that was illegitimate so now the automated system believes the sound is unusable. I'm not actually sure if this happens to sound effects. I know it does for musical pieces.

I hope this was helpful
