Would it be politically or religiously correct for me to use this sample
http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=33937

in a song?
I'm asking because I don't want to disrespect anyone or any religion by using something of this sensitivity.

Well I remember a little while back, a major news entity drew up a political cartoon featuring the prophet Mohammad, which is forbidden in the Muslim religion. The Muslim community was outraged and the network had to formally apologize for the misunderstanding. Although what I want to do is on a much smaller scale, I still want to be correct about it.

I don't know but since I have the same request as the topic starter I have send the question to the uploader - let's see what he or she has to say about this.

Update: the author has indicated that these recordings (Muslim prayers) are not to be used in combination with music. In anything else it is fine, though.

If we cannot use it in musicS,
WHY keep that sounds on FreeSound???
There is not an contradiction with the licence???

I"M sure that there is unaware/newbee/stupid peoples that load it and mixed it in music,
without ask questions or thinking about potential religion problems,
wHaT you have to Say about that?

For now, I recommend to the Maker of theses soundS
to write in the description a warning to don'T mixing theses sound in musicS cool

Or any religiously sensitive samples for that matter.

The author has already mentioned that he will add the restrictive use clause to the describtions.

It doesn't contradict with the licence, though.
