Hey everyone. I love this site so much. It is just great.

Anyhow, I was wondering what the general consensus is on how welcome general spoken word-type additions are.

I am extremely interested in the idea lately of capturing stories from people at my university about anything and everything and putting them together as sort of a project. I basically want to put them onto a playback system on a walkway at my university so that people walking by could hear the stories. I'm not sure why that intrigues me, but it does.

It seems like the vision of the freesound project is really more geared towards sound samples and not towards long stories of spoken word.

Does anybody have any input as to whether or not stories are welcomed here? I would like to refer to the following sample because it is just a great little story: http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=31916

Thanks

everything which doesn't breach our copyright licenses, and which isn't music (and in your case contains no background music nor background "anything copyrighted"wink is welcome!!!

best is to ask ppl while recording if they are ok with releasing whatever u record.

Bram, how do all those loops that are being posted not ualify as 'music'? Just a question based on the fact whole tracks are not OK but sliced ones are?

This sounds great! Thanks for sharing that story with the trailer, here's another good one (thanks mike.)

I think this is a really cool idea. Maybe tag everything "story" and/or "interview" to help people browse.

Looking forward to hearing more stories!

Will do.

I hope others will start doing the same. Stories from around the world are so interesting to me.
