Ok, I am in an intercultural communication class and my team is supposed to do a short presentation about what life is like for the blind. My idea was to make a short video (like 3 or 4 minutes). We would turn all the lights off in the classroom and the video playing would be totally black, with only audio being heard. The help that I need is that I need some good audio clips that would be obvious when you heard them what they are, such as traffic sounds, a loud crowd at a sporting event, or something like a beach setting with waves and such. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on other things to incorporate in my video and if anyone had any good examples of clips from this site for me to use as it is cc friendly which is nice. Thank you in advance!

if you do however want a specific recording, pop over to the sample request section - and one of us will pop out and do it!

I thank you guys for your help, I should be able to make use of some of those sounds. Unfortunately I do not have the time available to make a request for new sounds, but if anyone has come across some city sounds with heavy traffic and car horns and the like some suggestions for that type would be much appreciated.

hello broomboy, if you do some detailed searches for sound using the terms you mention in your post then you should find lots. I have contributed a few ambient city sounds to the database - seek them out. (I've got on a bus, on a train, night, day, rooftop, street corners, outside pubs, at markets... etc etc)
