I can log into site with user name and password but when I go to FTP page I can not type anything in the password box...I type and nothing....Then I get a message my user name os password is wrong...Yes password is wrong...I can't type it in....When I hit the help button nothing happens...Do I have to have my computer firewall set a certain way(fairly new to file sharing) ??? Or is it the site ???
I just want to contribute sounds since I have downloaded some...GREAT SOUNDS YOU PEOPLE MAKE....Well, most of you anyway....Thanx

and switch off your firewall software for a second, people seem to have trouble with FTP and firewalls.

I read it and tried many different approaches...firewall and all....I've tried for at least 6 hours now...In the OSx approach I can log in and I can get icon to appear as server on my desktop but I can't copy anything to Freesound icon....Read only....I am told I can't modify it....one thing I noticed when trying applet approach is the FTP applet is for evaluation purposes and the certificate appears to have expired...Could this be the problem....I really can't figure out why this won't work.When I go to the site you got applet from there are only 2 options ....evaluation and to buy the application

Thanx Bram , for all the help....Cyberduck at http://cyberduck.ch/ is the program I needed...Wish I had used it before wasting so much time.....But....was it a waste , OR , a learning experience.... My first uploads will be samples for your samplers from the mighty Korg DSS-1.... :!:
