Wow guys, we now have way over 20000 samples in the database! Thanks.
Also there were more then 20 different uploaders over the last 48 hours. I love that. Its great to see such a diverce userbase.
In fact I submit to you this idea: GALORE: Great Audio enLargement Of Repository Expedition (yeah i couldnt come up with a dodgier name ) Basically what I'd like to do is upload one sound every day. And im hoping others will do the same, I am planning on adding it to my daily routine kind of like adding an entry to a blog perhaps.
The benifit for the freesound project will be that the expansion of the stuff available will be more stable and also that you dont have to spend ages doing that boring describing stuff. Just add a sample, describe it and yer done. Well, maybe this wont work for a lot of you but it has been working for me for the last week.

Nice idea yeah... but... can't believe I'm the only one who is *dying* to know who uploaded sample number 20000 ! Must confess I tried hard to hit the target, so come on, Anton: please tell!

I think I was in the final 40 if not the final 20. It would definitely be cool to find out who uploaded sample #20000.

As for the GALORE idea... that would be nice for people who can do it, but I think once a month is a more realistic target for me. At least until I get a recording system that is seperate from my video camera, which will make it less of a hassle to make and transfer recordings.

But then, of course Anton, in your case it *should* involve a daily update of your tagline to show your latest upload. It's 6 months out of date!
