Hi,
Try this:-
Make sure you're on the main view screen for the sample you want, (not in a file list).
i.e. your screen should look a bit like you'll get from this link
http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=21899
Then RIGHT click on the word Download (not within the brackets that says 3 downloads or whatever) then choose "Save target as" from the menu and Bob's your uncle.
