Hello ! I uploaded a short piece of music for free use. It's shown under "Uploads" but with the text "awaiting moderation". Hmmm ... i don't know what that means and could not find any explanation for this. Seems freesound does not like to have my little sound-mix xD

When you upload a sound it goes into a moderation queue where it's checked by a person to make sure it follows the rules and guidelines.

Sometimes it takes days to moderate.

you can complain, but this site is run by mostly volunteers. So it takes a while.

Instead say thank you to them for all there spare time the spent on this beautiful site.

I tried to volunteer but they still don't accept.

Acceptance is based on multiple factors. Account age is one, being less than a year old is probably on the low side, it doesn't really give much indication on it's own though. Contribution and activity in the community is also important. Building a rapport with existing team is really beneficial. So my advice is to continue to contribute and be active and helpful in the forums.

It's not a "secret club" however, moderating is not as straight forward as it seems because of the legal standpoint since we want it to be safe for people, so making sure we have the right team to do it is quite critical.
