Please, people! Make more laser sound effects! Not the arcade sounding effects, but the impressive Star Wars style of lasers! I, in particular, would LOVE that! And PLEASE make them open source - CC0!
There are almost no realistic sound effects on this site that are free to use without crediting, or free for commercial use. I dare you to fix this problem!
For those who try to do so, I thank you!

As I recall, most of the laser sounds from old films were made by banging on long pieces of stretched wire. So, the "laser" pulse was just the impact wave travelling down the wire and away from the mic. The films used a home-built, table-top setup with the wire stretched over a long wood frame. I've also heard these kinds of sounds come from wire fences, and I bet even an electric bass with some timestretch could manage it.

Are you still looking for sounds like this? I'm up to the challenge of making some.

Here are some I did in Vital(ium) and LMMS:

https://freesound.org/people/neopolitansixth/packs/32785/

I just made the sounds in the pack, so they haven't been moderated yet, so give it a day or two for the sounds I uploaded to show up...

Maybe it's not time, but I'll write. An interesting request. As the author of many effects of this type, I can assume that people who have made a good effect either want to earn extra money on it, or, posting it on public resources, do not want someone to unfairly earn on their work. And this and that is quite normal, since the creation of one effect can take a huge amount of time, and sometimes money. Moreover, I can definitely say that there are bot accounts on this resource that download sounds for sale (unless, of course, nothing has changed in this regard). I don't see any problem with attribution. Many people go for it completely freely, understanding and respecting the work of the authors. Well, if you have a commercial project, get ready to spend money on sounds from commercial libraries.

When you think that you already know how..., it means that you don't know anything yet!
