This is no ordinary dare.
This is a MEGA-DARE: I am challenging you to create a signature sound and use it in your dare entry music piece (any style, genre, etc)

So far, easy...

The "Mega" aspect is that this challenge will carry over into the next 3 dares: That sound that you choose as your signature sound will have to be used in your entries for the next 2 dares also.
Yes, that is right. You have not seen the following dares yet... You have no idea what I will come up with... But if you take the mega-challenge you will commit now to use that signature sound ... and again... and again!
Muah-ah-ah-ah (evil laugh)

The signature sound could be one specific sound (processed or not) - for example, the sound of a train or a dog barking or an unusual synth.

I will also accept a signature sound as a specific mellody.

Will also accept a signature sound that is a very specific processing 'trick'. For example on your drums, guitar (or even vocals).

The rule is that you have to explain clearly what your signature sound is, and then must use it again on the following dares. AND it must be recognizeable.

Deadline 31st Jan, 11pm GMT.

Take the dare!

I want to believe.

I want to upload my dare-31 submission before 2014 ends. So here is ”Amplified Silence (dare-31)”. A nightmare in the borderland between tinnitus and pareidolia. Yep, finally my sounds/loops met in the uFXloops app.

The sounds are; my signature sound, sounds derived from my youth orchestra recording, the library jalousie, three home made drumloops, on-line speech synthesis and from freesound

Anyway, here it is

It is a pretty strange piece. Not sure what more I can say.

I want to believe.

Hey Marius, you got there just in the nick of time!

I was out Sunday so have not hear it yet. I will post comments in SoundCloud when I do.

This dare is closed. No more submissions, please.
The next dare is already open and is part of the "signature sound" mega-dare...

I want to believe.
