I think the level of choice in terms of different DAWs is a good thing... Mostly...

Don't get me wrong: I think all the discussions we are having about different DAWs and best way to collab are GREAT. - And EASIER often means BETTER smile

However, the collab is between the PEOPLE, not the DAWs.
People are the most important element. So you canalways collab, if you want to. Whatever DAW you are using.
Using the same DAW will make it easier.
But it is the will of the two people to work together that will make it happen.
Lets not forget that smile

I want to believe.

You're absolutely right AlienXXX!

I would like to try the collab dares too. Time is not always a good friend of mine though, but i'll manage somehow.

I'm using Ardour 3 beta5 as DAW, on linux..... just to stir the whole DAW discussion up again grin But nevermind, i'm sure we'll think of a good solution, no matter what.

As long as you can export wav (or even flac) files and you are able to import those again back into your DAW we can collaborate.

In fact, there could even be an argument in favour of collaborating with people using different software from yourself... (the benefits of and celebrating diversity, once more...)

So, Freesounders... You have been warned: at some point there will be a collab dare in which you will have to collab with someone using a different DAW (now I am the one being evil, muah ah ah )

But we will start slow and easy and buil up from there.
And the collab dares will have an extended deadline. So, even if time is not on your side, should be possible.

I want to believe.

Well, i think of it this way; I really don't have a choice, collaborating cross platform. So fine with me, if you make a rule about that grin

I think i'm pretty much able to port in what ever type of file people want me to. Wav, flac, omf, etc. So this should mean no significant problem at all.
