Hi CorrodedMaster.

The problem you describe suggests that Adobe Flash is not working in your browser. Has it been disabled recently, or perhaps updated and incorrectly installed? Or have you recently installed a "flash killer" plugin?

I use Firefox and usually keep my flash plugin disabled (I dislike the intrusiveness of flash content). I only enable it when I want to download or preview on freesound otherwise I get exactly the same thing you describe.

Using the FireFox addon "Noscript" would be another (more convenient?) way of doing that.

If you were using Interner Explorer and had the security setting set to "high" it then doesn't permit flash to run: no Freesound previews.
need to turn IE security down to "medium-high", (or use a custom security setting), to allow flash to run.
