should I assume that the sound I posted the other day didn't go through and try again

or

should I wait a bit longer?

I must admit I was surprised a few days ago to see the 'Additions in Last 48 hours' completely empty.

I think that the last ones were from the 24th of September and the stuff I uploaded since, doesn´t show sad

yes, for some reason new files are not being added, and the last time this happened the server had been hacked. It's better to wait for Bram to fix this, in the mean time, I would not upload any new files

... the last time this happened the server had been hacked.

A few days ago I got Viagra-type spam email sent to the email address I only use for Freesound.
This is the first time I've had this happen to my Freesound-only email.
Coincidence ?

I do not show my email in Fs profile, neither the "public" one used to sign in blogs and registrations - but when Fs users ask for it I'll give it, until I'm sure enough one is not a spammer.

I do not show my email in Fs profile

Neither do I.

I use(d) a disposable email for my Freesound.org registration.

Of the dozens of such disposable accounts I have, I only got spam via the one I exclusively use for communicating to/from Freesound.org, (I did not give this email to any Freesound users).

I only began getting this spam via the exclusive Freesound email address a few days ago, coinciding with the upload problem here.

…when Fs users ask for it I'll give it, until I'm sure enough one is not a spammer.

NB: even if they are not a spammer their email account contacts list, with your email address, can be stolen by a spammer,
(via phishing , or a Trojan horse email "harvesting" their contacts list and sending them to the spammer).

We are experiencing some troubles with the previews and can therefore not approve the sounds (yet). Working on it right now

We are up and running again. Please be patient if your sounds are not approved yet and don't upload them again because uploading duplicates causes a weird bug that takes a lot of time to repair. Sounds will appear a.s.a.p.

No need to panic in advance smile
A small -but essential- piece of software was accidentally erased on the server which made it so that WAV and AIF files were not being processed anymore.
Reinstalled the software, reprocessed the queue of files and we're rolling again.
