Hello All,

I have just been downloading some samples and sample packs, but when I went to my "Downloaded Files" screen, I cannot find all the files and packs I downloaded.

I have waited a few minutes and refreshed the screen - in case there was a timming issue.
I even logged out and in again and checked the screen again.

Today I have downloaded the following packs in the order they are listed:
15-14_TicTacShutUp_Household_Percussion.zip
17-29_TicTacShutUp_Studio_Drums_1.zip
3850-8_CyberiaLainKittyKat_Micron_Madness_Deconstruction_Random.zip
2009-42_CyberiaLainKittyKat_Deathcore_GlitchBreak_And_More........zip
3397-80_CyberiaLainKittyKat_NanoLoop_and_LSDJ_folder.zip
2228-5_LincolnLog_Giant_cowbells.zip
2450-14_LincolnLog_Guitar_machine_loops.zip

Also downloaded one isolated sound file:
82402__Vampirella17__Adrianna_Scream5_different.wav

None of the packs or samples therein appear in my downloaded files list, although the single sample (i.e., not in a pack) does.
This is potentially an issue for me as I mostly tend to search and download full packs. Although individual samples retain the name of the creator (and I do not change sample names), if I ever want to find again a sample that I have downloaded, it will not necessarily be in the list.

As a further addition:
The files I have downloaded are not on my "Attribution list" screen either.

Can someone confirm if this is just a timming issue or something more serious?

Thanks

I want to believe.

Hello again...

Can anyone help with my previous post?
Neither my "Samples you downloaded" screen neither my "attribution list" seem to be recording the sample packs I have downloaded, only the individual samples.

Is this the way it should be, is it a bug or a problem with my Freesound account?

I want to believe.

Hello AlienXXX

I can't give the "official answer" to the pack attribution question but two zip packs I downloaded don't show on my Attrib list or download page either, so call it a bug or an oversight but I guess it's just a feature (or lack of) of the Freesound system at the moment.

Perhaps it's a wish list item for the Features Requst Forum? I'd guess that if the list of file contents of downloaded zips were added to both the above pages it would solve your problem. Not being a programmer I have no idea how difficult that would be to code, but freesound already has many much more sophisticated features that work very well so given somebody's valuable time I'm sure it could be done.

Regards, Wibby.

Thanks Wibby,

At least I know it is not a problem with my account.
Maybe it will be one of the improvements in Freesound2 ...

I want to believe.

Thanks for the reply, Bram.
It is useful to know. As I said, I do not change the file names, so this does not cause me a problem with attribution.
Should this limitation be made more obvious to users?

I want to believe.
