While I am happy to contribute sound files to freesound.org I find that yesterday, last night, and now today the ftp server simply will not cooperate with me.
I log in, it says I am user 1 of 50, so far so good. When I try to upload a 138KB WAV file it starts, but then times out. Sometimes CuteFTP logs me in again as if the socket had been closed by the server.
I don't know what other processes run on the ftp server, but it almost seems as though it is overloaded or perhaps something is not configured correctly. I use CuteFTP with several other linux ftp servers famously, so I don't think that it is my setup here.
The log file also indicates that it is switching to PASV mode, so that eliminates that question, I hope.
I contributed some sound files back in July without trouble, but something has changed since that time.
