Can you please help me with this? There is no option to go back to the old UI. It's much better than the one we had today.

Click your avatar at the top right and then "Switch to old UI".

Unfortunately, that new UI is going to be forced on us eventually. Who asked for it? Beats me.

I don't like using a mobile layout on a desktop. There is a lot of empty space on my screen.

That's weird. It looks like a computer layout on my dell laptop.

It's a computer layout that shows far, far less information on the screen than it used to. Look at three search results, scroll, look at three results, scroll. If I want to refine my search, just the tag cloud takes up the entire left side of the screen, so I have to scroll down two full screen lengths if I want to filter results by bitrate. The rightmost and leftmost fifths of the screen are empty space. I'm not trying to sound grumpy. Freesound is an amazing resource and I'm grateful for all the hard work that goes into it, I'm just melancholic that the entire internet looks like this nowadays.

You can't do it anymore. You're gonna be stuck with this Pinterest-ass layout and slower website loading time because they considered a more appealing-to-the-eye interface obsolete.

Please give us an option at least, it's really frustrating when you get used to something for so many years and then it changes its design for no reason.

It is very special that you are already talking about 'getting used' to it after 8 months of membership.😜
Welcome to 2024.

Welcome to 2024.

Hey, some of us are neurodivergent and struggle a lot with these kind of changes. Specially when they are deemed unnecessary. I left this place because of this and I had been around for more than a decade.
Yes, I also would like an option to go back to the old UI. I'm sure whatever was wrong with it on the security side could have been fixed without all this "Welcome to 2024" feel. Freesound used to feel like a safe haven from an era when the internet wasn't all about social media, ads and "design", and was actually kind to its users. I'm sure it still is but it certainly doesn't look and feel like it.
