It seems like there should be either smaller text or, probably better, additional lines of text underneath.

This is very true, and although the "hover" box will reveal it that's very clumsy and not very helpful if you're scrolling through 180 sounds looking for that elusive minor key.

It's even more annoying since 80%+ of the area on screen is doing no more than glowing uniform white (or uniform dark maybe). As mentally relaxing as driving in a blizzard.
