I recorded my printer with my iPhone and the Mikey from Blue Microphones. Then I edited, gated and processed the hell out of it.

Hey there, glad you like it. I made that thing yeeeears ago and all I recall is that it happened pretty quickly and intuitively. As it says above, I just put the Mikey at reasonable distance, recorded the printing of one page and then went mad on the file. I used Nuendo and, as this is the way I do most of my stuff, just cut it up, reversed bits, transposed bits, layered stuff and smiled when it all came together. I think I didn't apply any dynamic processing, so that it would be easier for people to process it themself. Irresponsible amounts of coffee and a clear idea in mind mostly do the trick for me. Cheers and let me hear what you did with it.

Hey :) Amazing work you've done here. Can u be a little bit more specific about "how you processed the recorded sounds" (which tools, DAW, which Ideas....) That would be really cool :) Much appreciated; thanx
