A Symphony For Birds And Rain. Early morning birdsong is interrupted by a heavy rain shower. First we hear Greenfinch, seagulls, Blackbird, Crow, Wood Pigeon, then the rain starts and builds to a crescendo, "drowning" out the birds. Big water drops splat on the window frame near me. The rain subsides and a couple of vehicles go by on a wet road. Birds are heard again, and a Herring Gull shows his indignation at having to take a cold shower. A smidgen of wind noise on the mic (just to show it's real!). Sony ECM-MS907 stereo mic -> MZ-N10 MD as pre-amp (low gain setting) line-out -> RockBox H120 with 12 dB gain. Recorded 5-July-2006 at 8 AM, end of a 2-hour recording that started with the thunderstorm of "RainThunderAndBirds.flac".

Thank you for a very useful sound.
It became part of a small vivaldi style four seasons animation
I did on a website here:

I think this perfectly captures the spirit of the rain and the earth in a deeply cleansing, peaceful moment. Thank you for it.

*Nods* This is the sort of thing that could be used behind a piece of calming music. Very nicely captured ^_^
