For this sound I have used one of the previous loops from this pack and combined it with a simple bassdrum, snare and hats rhythm created in Reason-8.
I wanted to combine the ethic xylophone-type sound with a more classical drum-kit beat. The xylophone sample is stretched/shrunk in Reason to fit to 2.5 bars and create a nice polyrhythm.
The xylophone-style sounds were created with Lord of the Springs, a free VST plugin instrument by Taron. You can find it here:
