turkish music

The tanbur is a fretted string instrument of Turkey and the former lands of the Ottoman Empire. This recording was done in the apartment of Hamza Zeytinoglu (Istanbul, Turkey) who plays practically all turkish instruments and was nice enough to allow me to record him play most of them. The recording was done on February 20th 2011 with a Sony PCM-D50. picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59779290@N03/5476515776/in/set-72157626120416994/
