A whistle that quickly changes pitch; to the human ear it can be similar to a bird chirp, but birds are not likely to be fooled. Totally synthetic, created in Cool Edit Pro. This one sounds more like something out of a video game, to my ears.

Thanks. I'm sure the keepers of freesound will appreciate donations.
Just to be clear, most of us who share sounds here are just end-users like yourself. You can also "contribute" by uploading sounds that you have created or recorded yourself, with the value of such contribution often being proportionate to how unique or useful the sound is, and how clear from unwanted noise and distortion. That kind of contribution helps expand the usefulness of the freesound repository. It's also a contribution of honor (sort of) when you follow the wishes of the sound owners by heeding their chosen license terms. But a monetary donation helps keep all of this publicly available for us all to benefit from (and of course, none of us user/uploaders see any of that money, but appreciate that the platform keeps running).
Thanks again.
