Wikus Van Der Walt is a South African native and was born and raised in one of the country's three capitals. A music lover from a very early age, yet no interest in playing music, until his friends started to play guitar at the age of 15. In 2008 formal music studies at the University of Pretoria began. What started out as the study of music turned out to be a much wider study of sound. From instrument study, classical guitar, to experimental sound synthesis. In 2011 he finished his B. Mus degree and has since worked freelance as a composer, sound designer and audio engineer.
