A compound of other sounds crated for my sci fi sitcom, this was supposed to be the sound of a landing dropship's bay doors opening to let out some over enthusiastic marines. I reckon it could work for a variety of industrial type noises.

I used a muffled and edited version of this sound as the backbone of a sound sequence for my most recent audio project. The resulting sound is that of a large cargo capsule being loaded into the launch head of a rail launch system...as heard from inside the capsule.
This was a tough sequence to do sound effects for, as I wrote the scene out before ever trying to piece together what the sequence should sound like. Your recording helped bring the scene to life. Thanks so much for making it available!
Here is how it was used:

This is amazing! Thank you. It does work extremely well for large bay doors!
