This sound was created using Audacity.
I generated a square tone with a frequency of 770Hz and an amplitude of 0,4 for a duration of 0,2sec to create a scan effect. Then I duplicated this sound 7 times at random times to create the impression of a cashier scanning several products. I used silent noise to fill the blank between the sounds. Finally, I added reverberation to the scanning sound with the following settings :
> size of the room: 40%
> pre-delay: 10ms
> reverberation: 35%
> amortization: 50%
> low tones: 100%
> high tones: 100%
> Wet Gain: -3 dB
> Gain Dry: -1 dB
> stereo width: 100%
