I generated a sine sound (600hz with a 0.7 frequency) and cut it so it lasted a very short time. I gave it a slightly lower pitch and duplicated it every second so it kind of sounded like a heartbeat on a monitor. Then, I placed the beats closer to each other, to imitate a racing heart, only to generate another sine with the same frequency and tonality in the end. I made it last a few seconds though, to make it sound like the heart had stopped beating.
