This sound was made using Audacity. I recorded a sound with my phone: the sound an item makes when it falls and hits the ground. It was a little box that didn't bounce in any way when it hit the ground and gave quite a flat sound. I decided to make it sound like it was bouncing a little after landing thanks to Audacity. For that, I cut the initial sound to make sure I kept a clean, short noise and I duplicated it. All in all, I duplicated it four times and moved it a little to the right every time. I also used the envelope tool to lower the pitch of the sound every time it bounced. I placed the last two sounds very close to each other, to give the illusion that the item bounces less and less high each time, only to eventually stop moving and fall on the ground for good. I selected all the tracks and turned them into one, using the mix and render tool, then I added the effect « Fade in » because it sounded closer to what I was aiming for. Next, I added some reverberation, to make it sound like it was dropped in a big, empty room.
