In this story I decided to put myself instead of an astronaut to explore the different steps to access the take-off of the rocket. Firstly, I wanted to represent the idea of an airlock in 2 steps with the accesses represented by the differents tones. Then in a third part, I wanted to transcribe the arrival of the astronaut in his cabin and the noise of the various commands for the takeoff. And to finish the sound of the rocket taking off.
To realize this sound writing I created in a first part two stereo tracks. On whom I generated 2 differents low tones, then I phased. Then I used the effect paulstretch, the sound became much too long, so I shortened the speed from 20 seconds to 8 seconds. I generated chirps at different heights to represent the passages of the airlock, that I then added a fade in and out. In order to take off the cabin, I generated another tone lower than the previous ones, to which I added a DTMF tone with a lower pitch so that it suggests another platform that the sound of the phone. And for ended, to realize the noise of the take-off I used a brownian noise with a fade in and fade out.
