On the night of Sunday February 14th 2021 Portland got a severe ice storm which coated everything with thick ice. This recording is a compilation of trees breaking under the weight of the ice. The original recording went all night, but these are the most interesting sounds from that 10 hour recording. Near the end there is also what I believe is a transformer going out.

Wow! - Quite shook me up, it sounds so nightmarish! Here in South-West England I've only twice experienced freezing rain, and that, although deadly enough, was nothing like the scale of your big ice storm! Good on you, capturing that!
