Night time along the Little Missouri River in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It was a warm summer night with some various birds calling and crickets and the ever present distant traffic. As much as I'd like for there not to be traffic noise, that is a fact of life and a part of the soundscape here. It is due to the constant fracking and oil drilling that happens in the area completely surrounding the National Park with huge trucks. If it weren't for the park, this habitat would be even more destroyed than it already is.
